Darlington named one of NASCAR's top cities

She may have a few years on her, but that doesn't mean the track known as the Lady in Black can't go a few more quality miles.

DARLINGTON, SC (WACH) - She may have a few years on her, but that doesn't mean the track known as the Lady in Black can't go a few more quality miles.

Darlington has been named the sixth best city for fans on the Nascar circuit. Real estate blog Movoto released its list of the circuit's top spots on Thursday. Darlington tied for sixth place with Bristol, TN.

The list was generated using criteria like attendance numbers, the track's history, danger and excitement level and entertainment destinations. The authors of the study call Darlington Raceway "the Fenway park of NASCAR" complete with its own museum, in addition to the National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame.

They also give Darlington points for items off the track, highlighting five historic districts where visitors can soak up the "local charm" and grab a drink at local watering holes like Katy's Lounge.

Concord, NC took the top spot on the list.
