COLUMBIA (WACH)- "Work hard and never give up on your dreams." Those were words from former Gamecock running back Marcus Lattimore to kids at the MVP Football Camp Saturday at A.C. Flora High School.
Midlands youth getting the opportunity to learn fundamentals and hear encouraging words from USC's all-time touchdowns leader and former Clemson quarterback Woody Dantzler.
"It's very important to give back to these kids because I was in their shoes 10, 15 years ago." Lattimore said.
Not only was it a day to learn from some of the Palmetto State's finest, but also time to cherish something they'll remember forever.
"In one word, it's fun," Dantzler said. "These kids have no cares in the world, and it makes you reflect on how fun it was being a kid."
So much fun, that even one of USC's most beloved players can't get enough.
"I'll do this forever if I can," Lattimore said. "This is the most important stage of their lives."
A day in their lives they'll keep with them for years to come.
