Charlotte, NC (WACH)- Former Clemson hoops star K.J. McDaniels showcased his talents for the Charlotte Hornets in a pre-draft workout on Wednesday.
Regarded as one of the greatest athletes to play for the Tigers, McDaniels joined five other prospects in the Queen City to show scouts their best work.
"I feel like it's a big step for me and my family," McDaniels said. "I think it's also great for Clemson."
McDaniels was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013-14. He led the Tigers in points, rebounds, blocks, steals and three-pointers. He's the only player in the country to lead his team in all five categories.
"This is a chance for the Tigers to bring in more recruits," McDaniels said.
McDaniels is projected by many as a late first-round pick in the upcoming draft.
