COLUMBIA (WACH)- In continued efforts to combat childhood obesity, the Carolina Panthers and the NFL brought their "Play 60" campaign to North Springs Park in Columbia on Wednesday.
Kids from the Richland County Recreation Commissions camp had the opportunity to work on football fundamentals and coordination with members of the Panthers organization.
"With the Panthers organization here, it's a great way to encourage the kids to come out and promote a healthy lifestyle," Director of Richland County Recreation Commissions James Brown said.
The NFL Play 60 initiative was created to promote health and fitness for the youth, and make sure kids understand the importance of exercising at least 60 minutes a day.
