CLEMSON (WACH) -The Carolina-Clemson rivalry game may be in the books, but the bad blood is very fresh.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is not happy with comments attributed to USC head coach Steve Spurrier.
It all started with a tweet from the official Gamecock football twitter account. It says "We aren't LSU, we aren't Alabama, but we sure ain't Clemson." ---Steve Spurrier.
As it turns out, the Gamecock football twitter account got that line from the radio broadcast of Saturday's game, as the quote was used by play-by-play man Todd Ellis.
However, the part referring to Clemson was apparently ad-libbed by Ellis.
Even so, a reporter asked Swinney about the tweet Thursday night after Clemson's practice.
Here are a few highlights from Swinney's rant, which lasted several minutes.
""This is more of a domination (than rivalry). My kid TMs grandkids won TMt live long enough to see this become a rivalry."
"That's why Carolina is in Chapel Hill, USC is in California and the university in this state always has been, always will be in Clemson. You can print that. Tweet that.
