COLUMBIA (WACH)- The Detroit Tigers selected USC third baseman Joey Pankake with the 220th pick in the seventh round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
Pankake joins teammate Grayson Greiner in Detroit, who was selected in the third round by the Tigers.
A native of Easley, SC, Pankake was named to the SEC All-Defensive team in 2014. He became the 26th player in school history to record 200 hits.
Pankake started in 58 games and hit .303 with a team-high 52 runs scored, 11 doubles, five homers and 31 RBI.
