WACH: Former Gamecock Jeffery snags 2 TD in Eagles' 51-23 win over Broncos
PHILADELPHIA, PA (WACH) -- Former Gamecock All-American wide receiver Alshon Jeffery did something Sunday that he hadn't done in nearly three years . The Philadelphia Eagles' wide out caught two touchdown passes in the Eagles's 51-23 beat down of the Denver Broncos, helping his squad improve to an NFL best (8-1).
Jeffery's first touchdown catch came in the first quarter on a 32-yard reception to give the Eagles their first points of the game. He would add another one later in the third quarter on a four-yard hookup from quarterback Carson Wentz.
This is the first time since week 12 of 2014 that Jeffery had a game with two or more receiving touchdowns in the same game. In addition to his two scores, he finished with six receptions for 84 yards.
