COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Wish you could fly last minute to Omaha, Neb. to catch the Gamecocks play in the College World Series? We've gathered the cost of roundtrip flights from nearby airports.
Leaving Thursday and returning one week later, a flight from Columbia Metropolitan Airport on Delta Airlines would cost $737 after taxes and fees, according to Orbitz.com. The same flight out of Charlotte using United Airlines would run $535 roundtrip.Related Stories... Southwest is advertising $791 from Charleston to Omaha and $725 from Greenville.
The average cost of domestic flights has been increasing over time. Data from American Express Global Business Travel says flights are up 10 percent over last year.
There are still almost 1,600 tickets available for each game, according to the CWS website. Click here for specific game prices.
The Gamecocks beat Virginia Tuesday night 7-1. The next game is set for Friday against the winner of the Virginia/California game. USC would have to be beat twice before being eliminated.
