Hope and Rembert-Jett named Scholar Athletes
LEXINGTON (WACH) -- This week's Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Scholar Athlete awards went to Waddel Rembert-Jett of Keenan, and Albert Hope of White Knoll
Albert is a 2-year starter on the soccer team and a captain of the football team where he has a 3-time offensive player of the week for the Timberwolves.
Albert is an honor student and member of the national honor society. He is in the top 10% of his class with a 4.512 GPA.
Outside of the classroom Albert volunteers reading to elementary school children and opens car doors on Fridays at his old elementary school.
Waddel is a Football and Track athlete. He won the state title in both the 200m and 400m dash in track and field.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Keenan's Student Council.
He has a 3.588 GPA and plans to attend Coastal Carolina to major in Sports Medicine on his quest to be a pharmacist one day.
At the end of the season, Waddel and Albert will compete against the rest of this season's scholar athletes for a $5,000 scholarship from Grow Financial Federal Credit Union.
