Chapin's Bill Taylor named 2016 SC Coach of the Year
CHAPIN, SC (WACH) - Chapin High School girl's soccer coach Bob Taylor was named the 2016 South Carolina Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
"To be recognized by the NFHS is unbelievable. The fact that our National Organization thought I did a good job is very humbling," said Taylor.
Taylor led Chapin to their first-ever state title in 2016. He took over the reigns of the programs in 2010.
"Coach has meant the world to the rest of my teammates and myself over the past couple of years. He turned the girl's soccer program around and has built it into a program that is highly respected all over the state," said senior Rachel Cosby.
