COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - The women's college basketball world is still waiting on a decision from A'ja Wilson, but when she does go public with her college choice next week a world-wide audience will be watching.
Heathwood Hall's A'ja Wilson, the nation's top-ranked women's basketball prospect, will announce where she intends to play her college basketball live on ESPNU on Wednesday, April 16.
Wilson set her decision date late last month. April 16 is the first day of the spring signing period.
Her announcement ceremony will be broadcast live from the athletic center on the Heathwood Hall campus beginning at 3PM, as she decides between Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Wilson averaged 35 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks per game during her senior season. She ended her high school career with a win by leading Heathwood to the SCISA AAA state championship. The McDonald's All-American drilled a game-tying three-pointer to send the championship game into overtime.
Wilson was named the 2013-14 SCISA State Player of the Year, Gatorade State Player of the Year, Naismith National High School Player of the Year, Parade All-American National Player of the Year, and a McDonald's All-American.
Wilson scored 10 points and collected nine rebounds in last week's McDonald's All-American game in Chicago.
