Overtime: High School Basketball State Championship Special

In a special edition of "Overtime," our Corey Miller has a plethora of guests as we celebrate the five Midlands teams who won high school basketball state championships this past weekend.

All 5 teams are represented in this week's show as we discuss their big wins in the state championship games.

At the top of the show, Miller is joined by Gray Collegiate boys basketball head coach Dion Bethea as they discuss the team's 2A state championship win over Carvers Bay. Keenan girls basketball head coach Reggie McLain is also a guest in this segment as he talks about his team's run to the 2A girls state title after they started the season 0-5.

In the second block of the show, Corey Miller sits down with Ridge View boys basketball head coach Yerrick Stoneman. The Blazers were dominate this season and took their talents all the way to the 4A boys basketball state title. Stoneman discusses the season as a whole and what it was like to finally lift the trophy.

In the third block of our show, it's all about the Spring Valley Vikings. Vikings head coach Megan Assey and Vikings star player Ashley Williamson (playing basketball at Clemson but is only a junior) are in the studio to discuss the Vikings dominate season and what it was like winning a state championship in just Assey's second season as head coach.

In the final block of this week's "Overtime," Newberry girls basketball head coach Melissa Mendenhall and assistant coach Tonya Jeter discuss the Bulldogs' run to the 3A girls basketball state championship and how the two coaches are VERY different out on the floor.

"Overtime" airs on Thursday nights at 11 pm ET on WACH FOX.
