Solid Orange: Way too early football talk and Clemson basketball's rough UNC skid
COLUMBIA, S.C. —
It's late January and we are still talking Tiger Football on Solid Orange! It's not our fault this Wednesday since ESPN ranked Clemson No. 1 in the Way-Too-Early Top 25; not to mention the ACC and Clemson released their 2018 football schedule.
Zach Lentz, Times and Democrat, joined us this week as always. Lentz feels this upcoming schedule looks pretty light for the Tigers saying, "Go ahead and plan on another playoff trip."
However, the stretch later in the season: where Clemson hosts NC State, then goes to Florida State, then comes right back to host Louisville could be the Tigers biggest challenge in the schedule.
Jordan Roper, Former Clemson basketball guard, joined the crew this week. Roper will be Solid Orange's basketball analyst the rest of the season. The gang discusses why the Tigers can't seem to beat North Carolina; Clemson is 0-59 all time versus the Tar Heels.
Zion Williamson was also a hot topic. The Nation's No. 2 High School basketball prospect will make his decision this Saturday, according to several reports. Clemson is among the numerous schools competing for Williamson (Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, and South Carolina).
Solid Orange airs every Wednesday night at 11 pm.
