The Huddle: Gamecocks, Clemson Rested After Bye Weeks
On this week's episode of "The Huddle," Mike Uva and Matt Dowell recap "Talking Tuesday" for college football. "Talking Tuesday" is when the football teams meet the press to discuss this week's games.
During this "Talking Tuesday," Will Muschamp and his South Carolina Gamecocks are coming off a bye week and possess a 5-2 record. The Gamecocks will take on Vanderbilt at Williams-Brice Stadium this week to try and become bowl eligible. The Gamecocks have five games remaining on this season's schedule with four of them being at home (Vanderbilt, Florida, Wofford, and Clemson).
South Carolina's rival Clemson, the reigning national champions, regrouped during their bye week after suffering a stunning loss at the hands of Syracuse. Clemson has dropped to #7 in the polls and will take on a tough Georgia Tech team at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
The Carolina Panthers are also regrouping after suffering a shock loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Many fans are upset at offensive coordinator Mike Shula due to the Panthers' recent offensive struggles, starting the hashtag "#FireShula" on social media. The Panthers are now 4-3 on the season, suffering two straight losses, and this Sunday will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers in an NFC South matchup.
"The Huddle" airs on Tuesday nights at 11 pm ET on WACH FOX.
