      Baum's double caps Clemson comeback over Boston College

      Jay Baum hit a walk-off double to score Garrett Boulware as Clemson came back from seven runs down to defeat Boston College 10-9 in 13 innings at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday.


      Clemson, S.C. (WACH)- Jay Baum hit a walk-off double to score Garrett Boulware as Clemson came back from seven runs down to defeat Boston College 10-9 in 13 innings at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday. The Tigers clinched the series and improved to 34-22 overall and 15-14 in ACC play.


      Clemson trailed 9-2 in the seventh, but a furious rally in the final two innings forced extra innings.


      After scoring two in the seventh, Tyler Slaton hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to make it a 9-5 game and Jon McGibbon hit a three-run double to tie the game 9-9.


      The Tigers will now battle in the ACC Tournament for a chance at an NCAA berth.
