He permitted just three singles and retired 11 straight batters during one stretch. South Carolina got its second shutout of the series, following a 6-0 victory at Clemson on Friday night. The Tigers (6-4) rebounded with a 6-3 win Saturday. Chase Vergason opened South Carolina's scoring with a solo homer in the fourth.
