      Boyd says he's not afraid of Clowney

      GREENSBORO, N.C. (WACH)- Initially Tajh Boyd took the high road when asked his thoughts on Jadeveon Clowney calling him 'scared,' but the senior quarterback responding with back bone on Sunday at the ACC Kickoff.


      "Am I scared? No, I'm not scared. Not at all," Boyd answered.


      Still, the fifth-year senior not taking the bait from the man who sacked him 4.5 times in 2012.


      "Initially there were things I wanted to say, but I had to look at the grand scheme of things," Boyd said.


      The signal caller admitting that Clowney's comments does add more fuel to an already burning rivalry.


      "It gets you fired up a little bit more," Boyd said. "We've got things that we need to handle first before we get to November, though."


      The Gamecocks have won four straight against the Tigers. They matchup November 30 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
