Clemson picked to win ACC championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WACH/AP) -- Clemson and Miami are the preseason favorites to win their respective divisions in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The league announced its predicted order of finish Monday following a vote of 120 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

The Tigers received 102 first-place votes in the Atlantic Division, well ahead of the 18 reigning league champion Florida State got, and are picked to beat Miami in the ACC championship game.

Clemson, which leads all ACC teams with 14 conference championships, finished on top of the preseason media poll for the second time since 1991.

Miami had 65 first-place votes in the Coastal, ahead of Virginia Tech's 27 and North Carolina's 22.
