Clemson sweeps Wednesday doubleheader

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WACH) - The Clemson Tigers cruised to a 12-2 win over Furman Wednesday night at Fluor Field to sweep a mid-week doubleheader with the Paladins.

The No. 19 Tigers improved to 35-15 with the win, while the Paladins fell to 26-22.

Clemson outscored Furman 26-4 in the doubleheader, beating Furman 14-2 in the first game of the day.

The Tigers are back in action this weekend when they host Georgia Southern for a three-game series. The first pitch for Friday's series opener is set for 7pm at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
