COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson will pay its football assistants more than $4.4 million next season and they have contracts that lock up coach Dabo Swinney's staff for the next two years.
The contracts were released Tuesday to The Associated Press.
Offensive coordinator Chad Morris was the only assistant who did not have his deal redone. He remains Clemson's highest-paid at $1.3 million a season.
Defensive coordinator Brent Venables will make $875,000 in salary and compensation next season, a raise from the $800,000 he'd earned his first two years at Clemson.
Defensive ends coach Marion Hobby is the next highest paid assistant, who'll earn $400,000 in 2014 after receiving a $25,000 raise in his two-year deal.
In January, Swinney received an eight-year contract that would pay him $3.15 million each season.
