CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd understands he's a big reason why the offense for the ninth-ranked Tigers has bogged down the past two weeks and says he's ready to make a strong push to the finish of the regular season.
Boyd has been the face of Clemson football all year and was at the top of many Heisman Trophy lists seven weeks ago after leading the Tigers to a season-opening win over Georgia. But after getting chased down by Florida State's defense and outdueled by Seminoles QB Jameis Winston in a 51-14 drubbing, Boyd is back to taking it one play at a time.
Boyd says he may have gotten caught up looking at the big picture of what Clemson could achieve instead of focusing on the game at hand.
