COLUMBIA (WACH)- L.B. Dantzler hit two home runs as No. 14 South Carolina swept No. 13 Texas A&M with a 6-3 win on Saturday. The Gamecocks are now 22-6 and 5-4 in the SEC.
USC got on the board first in the second inning when George Iskenderian delivered an RBI single to score Chase Vergason making it 1-0. The Aggies would answer with two runs in the top of the fourth inning, but Dantzler tied things up in the bottom half of the inning.
The Gamecocks took a 3-2 lead in the sixth when Connor Bright blasted a solo shot to left field. Adam Westmoreland picked up his second win of the series pitching 4.2 innings in relief, and Tyler Webb closed it out for his 11th save of the season.
USC returns to action Tuesday night when they host Charleston Southern. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
