COLUMBIA (WACH)- New Year's Day will be the final game for a number of Gamecocks, and their top receiver could be one of them.
Junior Bruce Ellington told reporters in Orlando Saturday that he is awaiting the results of his draft evaluation to determine whether he chooses to go pro or return to school.
"I'm just waiting on my papers right now," Ellington said. "If it says its good enough, I will talk to coach (Martin) and tell him I want to go if there's a chance I can leave."
Ellington is a senior on the basketball court and planned on returning to the team after the Capital One Bowl.
The Moncks Corner native leads USC in receiving this year with 43 receptions for 635 yards and six touchdowns.
USC faces Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl on January 1 at 1:00 p.m. on ABC.
