COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - South Carolina and the University of Central Florida will square off at noon on Saturday, September 28.
The announcement was made Monday afternoon. The game will be televised by either ABC, ESPN or ESPNU.
The contest will mark the Gamecocks first trip to Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando. South Carolina has won all three previous meetings with the Knights, but all three of those games were played in Columbia, the most recent in 2005. That season-opener was also the first game coached by Steve Spurrier at South Carolina. The Gamecocks walked away with a 24-15 win.
The Gamecocks (2-1, 1-1 SEC) are ranked No. 12 in this week's Associated Press poll and No. 13 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll. UCF (3-0) is coming off a win at Penn State and received votes in this week's polls. Both South Carolina and Central Florida are off this week.
The network that will carry the game will be decided following this week's action.
