COLUMBIA (WACH)- The Gamecocks got eight scoreless innings pitched out of freshman right-hander Wil Crowe as No. 1 South Carolina completed the sweep over Brown 1-0 on Sunday at Carolina Stadium.

USC didn't have much offense on the afternoon, but Elliott Caldwell's sacrifice fly in the 4th inning proved to be enough.

Crowe (3-0) struck out a career-high nin batters and allowed just four hits with one walk. Joel Seddon worked a clean ninth inning to grab his fifth save of the season.

The Gamecocks are back at Carolina Stadium on Tuesday when they host Furman. First pitch is at 7 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive ten minutes early as the team will honor USC student Martha Childress before the game.
