COLUMBIA (WACH)- With his first SEC season under his belt, David Houser returns to Columbia for the summer where he'll play for the Blowfish.
The A.C. Flora grad and current Tennessee Volunteers catcher is excited to be once again be playing in front of family and friends.
"My first SEC season went great and I'm excited to be back in my hometown," Houser said.
Houser started 30 of 37 games for the Vols during his freshman season and hopes playing with the Blowfish this summer will help his game heading into next season.
"Our coaches put a lot of emphasis on summer ball and developing as a player," Houser said. "It will be important to get plenty of at-bats and throw during the offseason."
The Blowfish begin their season on May 28.
