      Offense powers Clemson over Wake Forest

      No. 14 Clemson jumped on Wake Forest 9-1 in the fifth inning and cruised to a 16-6 win over the Demon Deacons to even the series in game one of their doubleheader Saturday.


      Winston Salem, N.C. (WACH)- No. 14 Clemson jumped on Wake Forest 9-1 in the fifth inning and cruised to a 16-6 win over the Demon Deacons to even the series in game one of their doubleheader Saturday.


      Jay Baum led the Tigers at the plate going 3-for-4 with three RBI's. Steve Wilkerson and Tyler Slaton both homered.


      Matthew Crownover (4-1) earned the win pitching 5.0 innings with four strikeouts.
