South Carolina baseball to play in Regional Championship Monday
GREENVILLE. NC (WACH) -- South Carolina was scheduled to play in the Regional Championship Sunday night, but instead will play on Monday due to weather.
East Carolina was playing UNC-Wilmington in an elimination game to determine South Carolina's opponent, but was delayed nearly five hours because of thunderstorms during the fourth inning. Play resumed at 8:30 PM with UNC-Wilmington upsetting regional host ECU 9-7.
Instead of having USC and UNCW start after 11 PM, the NCAA announced that the two would play Monday at 1 PM. If a second game is needed, that game will start at 5 PM, or 50 minutes after the first game if it runs behind.
Both games will be live-streamed on ESPN3.
