Swinney, Meyer guide teams back to BCS stage

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) -- To paraphrase Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, if his Tigers are really going to have a breakthrough moment to cap this season, they need to win a BCS game.

Just their luck, they're facing a coach who never loses them.

Urban Meyer took Utah to a BCS game, and won. He took Florida to three of them, and won them all. And now he's taken No. 7 Ohio State back to the BCS stage, with the Buckeyes facing the 12th-ranked Tigers in the Orange Bowl on Friday night.

Clemson (10-2) was in the Orange Bowl two years ago, losing 70-33 to West Virginia, a game that the Tigers were leading early. The Buckeyes (12-1) are coming off their first loss in two years, falling in the Big Ten title game.
