COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - South Carolina's basketball game with Vanderbilt will be played Thursday at 4 pm.
The home game was originally set for Wednesday night, but was postponed due to winter weather across the state. The Southeastern Conference approved the cancellation Wednesday morning. According the university, t he safety of the participating teams, staff and fans was considered in postponing the game.
Tickets to Wednesday's game will be honored on Thursday. If fans are not able to use single-game tickets purchased for the original scheduled date, they may be exchanged at Colonial Life Arena for a remaining men's basketball game pending ticket availability.
On January 29, the Gamecocks played a scheduled home game despite the winter season's first blast of snow and ice. They scored the team's first, and only, conference win of thet season in a 28-point victory overTexas A&M.
