USC's Crowe named pitcher of the week

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - South Carolina freshman Wil Crowe has been named the SEC pitcher of the week after an impressive collegiate debut this past weekend.

Crowe threw 6.1 innings of no-hit baseball in his first career start against Bucknell on Sunday. The freshman from Tennessee also racked up five strikeouts and had one walk on the way to his first career win as a Gamecock.

Crowe retired 13 consecutive batters in a row before coming out of the game as he reached his pitch count total.
