      USC's Martin to show cooking skills at Final Four

      ATLANTA, GA (WACH) - South Carolina men's basketball program will have a seat at the Final Four table in Atlanta this weekend when head coach Frank Martin showcases his cooking skills to raise money for cancer research.

      Martin, who just finished his first season with the Gamecocks, will take part in the LG Coaches' Cook-Off with celebrity chef Richard Blais and former Kansas State colleague Bob Huggins of West Virginia University.

      The event is set for Saturday April 6 at 2:30 and is being sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and LG Electronics USA. It is one of many events set for Final Four weekend.

      The cook-off will be hosted and judged by Blais, who is the Bravo Network's Top Chef All-Stars winner, an author and Atlanta restaurateur.

      Huggins and Martin will have to whip up Blais' own game-day English Muffin Pizza recipe, from his new cookbook, Try This At Home: Recipes From My Head to Your Plate.

      The event will benefit the Coaches vs Cancer program. After the cooking competition, LG will donate $20,000 to the American Cancer Society in the winning coach's name.
