USC's series finale with Vanderbilt rained out

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - South Carolina's series finale with No. 2 Vanderbilt was rained out Sunday afternoon and the game will not be made up.

The 15th-ranked Gamecocks were hoping to salvage one game in the series after dropping the first two to the Commodores. As a result of the rainout, Vanderbilt and South Carolina will only play 29 conference games. The Gamecocks have two conference series left before the SEC Tournament.

South Carolina is back in action Wednesday night when they host Wofford. First pitch for that non-conference game is set for 7pm at Carolina Stadium.
