COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- The South Carolina football team reports to camp next Sunday before officially beginning fall camp the following day. Perry Orth won't be with the Gamecocks this season, after graduating this past spring, but says he's remained close with former teammate and quarterback Jake Bentley.

"Every time we talk it's not always about football," said Orth, during his QB camp at Heathwood Hall on Saturday. "It's, 'hey how you doing? I'm going to be in Columbia lets go grab some food.'"

While the two have stayed friends off the field, Orth has also provided Bentley with advice as he heads into his first-fall camp as the Gamecocks starting quarterback.

"Don't buy into all of the hype," explained Orth, when asked what's some of the advice he's shared with Bentley. "Continue to do the things you've done to get you where you were because as soon as you let some of that stuff start to get to your head, you go downhill a little."
