WATCH: A'ja Wilson receives standing ovation in her final game at CLA as a Gamecock
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- With less than a minute to play in Sunday night's 66-56 win against Virginia, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley subbed A'ja Wilson out for the final time at Colonial Life Arena. Even with the horn blaring briefly to indicate a substitution, the only thing that could truly be heard was the roar of the crowd, giving the three-time SEC Player of the Year a standing ovation.
Wilson finished her final game at CLA with 25 points and 11 rebounds to help the Gamecocks advance back to the Sweet 16 for a fifth-straight year. Chants of "A'ja" rang after she was subbed out of the game.
Watch the emotional video of Wilson leaving the floor at CLA one last time during a game and her final victory dance with the Gamecock band.
