Yellow Jackets use big fifth inning to avoid sweep at Clemson

Georgia Tech scored 10 runs in the fifth inning on Saturday to avoid being swept by Clemson.

CLEMSON (WACH)- Georgia Tech put together a 10 run inning in the fifth to avoid the sweep against Clemson on Saturday winning 14-9 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers fell to 30-14 and 15-9 in the ACC.

The Yellow Jackets scored two in the first before the Tigers answered with four of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

Clemson held a 5-2 lead in the fifth when Georgia Tech answered with 10.

The Tigers return to action next Saturday when they host Maryland. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
