Columbia (WACH) -- For the first time since 2012, Columbia Metropolitan Airport recorded a official high temperature in the triple digits!
At 3:44 Tuesday afternoon Columbia Metro reached 100 degrees.
While that was extremely hot it did not break the record for the day.
The record high for July 8th still stands at 105 set in 1977.
Thunderstorm chances will help bring slightly cooler temperatures for the back half of the work week.
