SUMTER, SC (WACH) -- Despite the Cardinal Newman offense putting up 28 points, it was a defensive player who was tapped for GEICO Local Office Player of the Game honors.

Cardinal's Charlie Skehan came up big when his team needed it the most. The senior linebacker had two interceptions in the game, one returned for a touchdown and one late in the game closing the door on any hopes Wilson Hall had of a comeback. Skehan also tallied 17 tackles on the night proving to be a force all over the field.
