Food Friday: Capital City Club offers an imaginative menu with eclectic cuisine

When there is such a variety of places that you can go to eat or lounge in the Columbia metro - how do you ultimately decide?

The Capital City Club is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary in the Midlands and there's a reason why no other place can touch the ultimate experience you have there.

This downtown premier business club is located at 1201 Main Street and on the 25th floor of the BB&T building.

It includes a library lounge, dining room, grille room and private dining.

Membership Director Angela Morton says this is the place where "political, community and professional leaders connect, work, host, play and celebrate."

She says the club has a variety of events coming up including their Veteran's Day Dinner on Friday, November 10 at 6 p.m. offering a 3-course dinner with wine for $55 as well as their Thanksgiving Brunch on Thursday, November 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where adults can eat for $34.95 and children for $13.95.

According to the club's website, its "seasonal menus feature regional interpretations of current and traditional specialties, served in the stylish and relaxed ambiance" and "where you enjoy magnificent views of the Columbia skyline."

As soon as our Natalie Parsons set foot in the Capital City Club kitchen with their Executive Chef, it was very clear that Angaza Mosley not only loves what he does and has a passion for cooking but he also takes great pride in the dishes he sends out to all his guests.

On this "Food Friday" brought to you by the U.S. Food's Chef Store, Chef Mosley shows WACH FOX how to prepare his Chicken Churro which is a different take on the Southern classic "Chicken & Waffles," Bison Tenderloin, Pan Seared Sea Scallops then Shrimp & Grits yet another well-known dish with a unique twist.
