Food Friday: Freshe Poke filling the stomachs of sushi lovers with chopsticks optional

Attention sushi lovers!

If this sounds like you, get ready for this week's "Food Friday" over at Freshe Poke in downtown Columbia.

The eatery describes what they serve as "basically sushi in a bowl" starting off with the base of either sushi white rice, brown rice, lettuce or a sushi burrito.

Freshe Poke's Jaime-Lee Good shows WACH FOX how to prepare one of their signature bowls called the Freshe Classic as well as their fiery specialty, the Volcano Eruption, which are all made with fresh ingredients.

"We get here very early in the morning and start chopping fish up or pineapple up. Everything in house is made daily," explains the Assistant Manager.

The restaurant recently opened a new location on Harbison Blvd in the shopping center right next store to Outback Steakhouse.

"As a sushi lover, this place is a MUST visit without the fuss of having to use chopsticks. Freshe Poke offers a selection of items that will easily satisfy your appetite with whatever meats, fish and even vegan items you could want. I know I'll definitely be going back," says GDC's Natalie Parsons.
