On this week's "Food Friday," our Morning Traffic & Lifestyle reporter Natalie Parsons visits a new pizzeria in the downtown Columbia area!
ZPizza is located on Lincoln Street between the 600 and 700 buildings right next store to Tropical Smoothie.
Their name may sound familiar because they were actually featured on WACH FOX's Good Day Columbia for "National Pizza Day" back in February.
If you take a peek at what they're serving you will see colorful pies but what this restaurant is offering is more than what meets the eye.
These artisan pies are "very healthy pies" that are made with "better for you" ingredients including skim mozzarella that comes right out of Wisconsin, organic tomato sauce, non-MSG pepperoni and sausage with no additives.
One of the perks to ZPizza is that they can personalize your pizza by letting you "Build Your Own Pie" with a variety of toppings and pizza crusts especially if you are Gluten Free or Vegan.
"The Vegan community comes in here and is very excited because it's hard to find," says owner Leslie Duffy.
But don't be fooled...ZPizza does serve more than just pizzas by the pie or slice.
You can enjoy salads, crispy fries and crispy wings with buffalo, bbq or pesto sauce.
Not able to dine-in...no problem!
You can have ZPizza delivered for free if you're located in either the 600 or 700 buildings on Lincoln Street, USC dorms and Greek Village.
Bike Squad and Let's Drive are available for any other locations.
