ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WACH) -- The Orangeburg County Coroner's Office has released the name of the woman who was killed on Highway 178 in a Wednesday morning accident.
Eighteen-year-old Cassidy Poore of North was killed after her truck ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree around 2 a.m. An autopsy showed Poore died due to blunt force trauma to the her body, according to the Coroner.
According to Trooper David Jones, Poore was driving a 1999 Chevy pick up truck and wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The accident occurred in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 178.
Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident and toxicology reports are pending.
