56-year-old woman identified in Rosewood neighborhood homicide
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the woman whose body was found inside of a home in the Rosewood communityThursday morning.
According to the coroner 56-year-old Joan Staub was found by her roommate around 1 p.m. inside of her home in the 900 block of Huntington Avenue.
Autopsy results indicated that Staub died due to blunt force trauma to the upper body and the coroner ruled her death as a homicide.
Earlier that morning officers from the Columbia Police Department responded to the home in reference to a burglary.
No arrests have been made at this time, the Columbia Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
