600 potential jurors to draw from in Dylann Roof trial
CHARLESTON, SC (WACH) - In an order issued Wednesday by Ninth Judicial Cirucit Judge J.C. Nicholson Jr., the Charleston County Clerk of Court will draw from 600 potential jurors in the case against Dylann Roof.
The 600 potential jurors will report to the Charleston Clerk of Court June 28.
Attorneys from there will interview and give questionnaires to the selected jurors to see who will be selected to overhear the case against Roof.The questionnaire will be sealed until June 28.
The trial against Roof is set to begin July 11.
Roof is facing nine counts of murder for the tragic shooting that took place at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston this past June.
Roof was also indicted on 33 federal hate crime charges. A trial date for the federal hearing has not been announced.
