Airport High admin had "unprofessional relationship" with student, district officials say

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)-- Lexington School District Two has confirmed that the assistant principal of Airport High School was terminated due to allegations of an unprofessional relationship with a student.

As we reported earlier, the Lexington School District Two Board of Trustees voted unanimously to terminate assistant principal Dawn Diimmler of Airport High School after allegations that she might be involved in an unprofessional relationship with a student.

Cayce Department of Public Safety became aware of facts indicating the possibility of criminal activity on January 30, 2018 during their investigation.

In response, the district notified law enforcement the same day of those facts and continued to cooperate with law enforcement during its investigation.

Dawn Kujawa, a school district spokesperson, confirmed that Principal Brad Coleman is also on administrative leave.

Kujawa also told WACH FOX that when certified employees are put on administrative leave, it is typically paid, as required by state law.
