Bikers ride in honor of Midlands couple killed in Parklane Road shooting


COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)-- Hundreds of bikers from around the country traveled to the Midlands to pay their respects to a Midlands couple who were gunned down in the middle of the street last week.

Bikers from as far away as California gathered outside of Bethel AME Church in Columbia for Aaron and Sydni Collins.

The Collins were a happy couple and motorcycle enthusiast The two were killed in the roadway on Parklane Road at Claudia Drive.

A third person was also injured during the shooting due to a car accident but is in stable condition.

Authorities have charged 43-year-old Ricardo Middleton in connection with the double homicide.

He was arrested Tuesday night in Berkeley County and is now facing murder and attempted murder charges

A motive behind the shooting has not been determined and the case remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
