The Charleston County Coroner's Office has released the identities of two children who died after being stabbed in North Charleston Monday.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bobbi Jo O'Neal said 8-year-old Avery Martin and his brother, 2-year-old Aiyden Martin, both died later at MUSC from "sharp force injuries."

Both of their deaths have been ruled a homicide.

Raashid White was arrested shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday off S. Antler Drive in North Charleston. Police had been searching for White since early in the afternoon after the incident at the Jamison Park Apartments of Greenridge Road.

White has been charged with two counts of murder. He waived his right to a bond hearing on Tuesday.

According to NCPD spokesman Spencer Pryor, officers were dispatched to 2245 Greenridge Road shortly after 3 p.m. Monday in reference to a complaint about a person having "mental issues" with children inside the residence.

A woman inside told police White forced her out of the apartment, and locked the door. Once on the scene, police found the two children injured inside the home.
