Part of Broad River Road back open after Wednesday house fire

    COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – One part of Broad River Rd. is back open after being shut down due to a house fire, according to the Columbia Fire Department.

    The house fire happened in the 3100 block of Broad River Rd around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

    The fire is out now, but crews are still on scene investigating. No one was in the house at the time of the fire and no one was injured, according to firefighters.

    According to a Columbia Fire captain on scene, the building was being used as a tax office.
