Coroner IDs driver in fatal car crash on Screaming Eagle Road


COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)-- Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the individual who died in a single-vehicle collision Monday night.

The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. at 2900 Screaming Eagle Road extension in Eastover.

According to Coroner Watts 48-years-old Brently Richard Borer of Blythewood was the restrained driver of a vehicle that left the roadway and overturned after striking a tree.

An autopsy indicated the cause of death to be blue head trauma due to the collision.
