Coroner IDs woman found dead in suspicious Carver Street house fire

One person pulled out of home after late Monday night house fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)-- The Richland County Coroner has identified the woman who was found dead inside of a home that caught fire Monday night.

According to Richland County Coroner Watts, 68-year-old Francena Willingham was pronounced dead at the scene after fire crews found her body inside of a home.

The Columbia Police and Fire Departments responded to a fire shortly after 10:30 p.m. at 3417 Carver Street when they found Willingham.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday however results are pending and no foul play is suspected at this time.

Columbia Fire continues to investigate the cause and origin of the fire that they believe is suspicious.
